Common questions

Can you rent a dungeon set for filming?

Yes: the dungeon virtual standing set at L.A. Castle Studios in Burbank and Albuquerque gives you torchlit stone cells, iron bars, and twisting tunnels without building a practical set or shooting in a real underground location. Everything happens on a controlled stage, consistent lighting, easy resets between setups, and none of the cold, damp locations you'd otherwise have to permit and insure.

Is this a real dungeon with stone walls?

It's a photoreal virtual standing set. The dungeon environment is rendered in real time and captured in camera, so it reads as real on screen. You can dress the foreground with practical props like chains, torches, or cell-door pieces, and your cast interacts with those real elements while the environment provides the stone walls and depth behind them.

Is the Dungeon Set available on my dates?

Not every set is available at all times, because we keep upgrading our systems and software. Send your dates with Check Availability and a producer confirms what is ready for your shoot.
