White Cyc Studio Set

The White Cyc Studio set is a virtual white cyc: a clean industrial studio with an integrated white cyclorama, a polished concrete floor and an exposed ceiling hung with lighting rigs. It is not a physical cyc wall. The look is rendered in Unreal Engine and composited live, in camera, at our Burbank and Albuquerque studios, so you get the finished white cyc shot without renting or repainting one.

Think of it as a set within a set. The cyclorama gives you the seamless white look, and the concrete, the ceiling and the practical texture around it (a red toolbox, a ladder) give the space character of its own. That makes it a location with a job in the story, not only a blank background.

Virtual white cyc set for feature films

In a film, the space reads as a working location. For a crime thriller it becomes the clean, high-tech garage where the crew modifies its vehicles and gear, and the cyc is simply part of the repurposed industrial room. A director can stage a dialogue or action scene with several actors and vehicles, and the depth of the virtual set carries the wide shot.

A standing location for episodic television

For a procedural or a tech series, the set can serve as a permanent location, such as a vehicle forensics bay where the team brings in a new car each week. The lighting equipment is part of the set, so it reads as lived-in. Adding a new piece of forensic equipment for one episode is a 3D asset, not a construction project, and the set loads at either studio in seconds.

White cyc look for music videos

For a performance video, the artist and dancers work on the polished floor while the white wall behind them becomes a surface for graphics, abstract imagery or lyrics built into the virtual set. Because the composite is finished in camera, the director and the artist see the result live on the stage.

Corporate and branded content on a clean white set

For a keynote-style presentation or a product launch, a presenter stands on the cyc while the product, brought in as a 3D asset, sits or turns beside them with real lighting, shadows and reflections. Real products, props and furniture can also sit in the foreground and blend with the virtual studio. It gives a branded video a polished, professional look without securing and lighting a physical studio of this size.
