Before you send it
What producers ask before they inquire
- Is there a rate card?
- No. Every production is quoted on its own, driven by shoot days, crew size, set complexity and which studio you use. Every rental includes the studio, the sets, lighting and audio packages, the teleprompter system, dressing rooms, makeup and green rooms, production offices, and the virtual system operator who runs the set live. - Can I see the studio before I book?
- Yes, by appointment, for producers with a project. A tour includes a live CastleVision demo: a virtual set loads around the talent on the green screen and you watch the finished shot on the monitor. Request a studio tour with the form above.
- Burbank or Albuquerque?
- Ask about either, or both. Every set in the library is available at both studios on the same pipeline, so a production can split between them. ABQ Castle Studios is a New Mexico Qualified Production Facility, the designation that takes New Mexico's credit from the 25% base to the 30% refundable New Mexico film tax credit on qualifying spend.
- What if the set I need isn't in the library?
- Tell us in the message. We build it, or capture a real place from photos, plans or an address. Custom virtual sets and locations
What happens next
- A producer reads it, not a sales queue, and replies by email or phone with availability at both studios.
- We walk through the shoot with you, from the sets and cameras to the crew you bring and the crew you need.
- You get a quote built on your actual production, and a tour of the studio if you want to see a set load live first.
