Carpenter's Workshop Set

Welcome to the Carpenter’s Workshop Set at L.A. Castle Studios. Step in off the street and the light does the introducing, tall arched windows throw dusty shafts across a room built for making things. Workbenches run the length of worn plank floors, half-finished wagon wheels lean against brick walls, and a belt-driven band saw stands mid-shop, ready for the next cut. It smells, you’re sure, of sawdust and linseed oil.

Every surface earns its keep. Hand tools hang in rows above the benches, planes, saws, clamps, augers, and shelves sag with tins, jars and offcuts. Ladders climb to a timber mezzanine, wheel rims and spokes crowd the walls, and iron machinery bolts to the floor beneath the rafters. The whole place is aged and specific, the kind of period build that usually takes a dressing crew a week and a warehouse of rented antiques.

Shoot the wide for scale with the band saw anchoring the frame, push in on a bench where the work is happening, or play a silhouette against those blazing windows. It’s made for period and historical drama, a craftsman or inventor’s story, Western and frontier scenes, a music video that wants warm wood and hard light. No location, no antique rental, no build. It loads on the Burbank and Albuquerque stages in seconds, lit and ready.

Bring your crew, bring your story, and get to work.
