Icelandic Canyon Set

Welcome to the Icelandic Canyon at L.A. Castle Studios. Black volcanic cliffs rise on both sides, draped in thick green moss, and fog drifts down from the rim. A cold stream runs over dark, wet stones along the floor of the gorge, and grass and ferns cling to every ledge. It is wild, quiet and a little otherworldly, the kind of place a story goes to be lost, or to find something.

A whole gorge to work in

Shoot down the canyon for depth and drama, come in close on your actors at the water’s edge, or look up at the cliffs disappearing into the mist. Rocky banks and ledges give you places to climb, rest and hide. Looking down from above, the stream winds through the stones like a path. The fog keeps every frame soft and atmospheric, and it is there on every take.
