- Do you have science lab sets for film and TV?
- Yes. Our laboratory sets are ready to load at our Burbank and Albuquerque studios, from a present-day research lab and a quantum-computing lab to futuristic, sci-fi, dystopian and early-1900s laboratories. Each is a photoreal virtual set that appears around your cast live, in camera.
- Which lab set fits my scene?
- For present-day science, the Laboratory Sets or the Quantum Lab. For the near future, the Futuristic Science Laboratory or the Space Laboratory. For creature and cloning stories, the Sci-Fi Creatures Research Lab or the Sci-Fi Laboratory. For a secret or state-run facility, the Brutalist Sci-Fi Lab or the Dystopian Lab. For a period piece, the Old Laboratory. Tell us the scene and we will suggest the set.
- Can we bring our own lab equipment and props?
- Yes. Real furniture, props and equipment can sit in the foreground where your cast works, and they blend with the virtual lab in camera.
- Can we shoot more than one lab in a day?
- Yes. Sets swap between setups the same day on the same floor, so a clean research lab and a derelict one can shoot back to back with no company move.
- What if the lab we need is not in the library?
- Our in-house set builders and artists create any location you can describe, and CastleVision, our patented capture method, can record a real place and replay it on our stage.
- Where are the lab sets?
- Every set in the library loads at both studios: L.A. Castle Studios in Burbank and ABQ Castle Studios in Albuquerque. Albuquerque shoots qualify for New Mexico’s 30% refundable film credit.
