Futuristic Dome Chamber Set

Welcome to the Futuristic Dome Chamber at L.A. Castle Studios. The walls curve up into a vast concrete dome, washed in warm amber light that fades to shadow overhead. A single slit of sky cuts through the roof. Below, a polished floor of dark marble is ringed with a line of light, and on one side a massive hangar door waits, sealed. The room is almost empty, and that is its power.

Space, light and stillness

There is nothing in the chamber to compete with your cast. Put a lone figure under the skylight, stage a meeting across the polished floor, or hold on the great door before it opens. Low angles make the dome soar; high angles turn the marble floor and its ring of light into a stage. The color of the light can shift from sunrise amber to cold night between setups.

For sci-fi drama, fashion and music videos

Use it for a science fiction drama or a mystery, an arrival or a ritual scene, a fashion film or a perfume spot, and a music video that wants a single, unforgettable room. Brands can stage a product reveal under the skylight for a commercial. Real props and furniture placed on the stage floor sit naturally in the chamber on camera.

Part of a bigger world

Pair it with the Concrete Throne Room and the Sandstone Sci-Fi Temple, and see all of our sci-fi sets. The chamber loads in seconds at our Burbank studio and our Albuquerque studio, and the finished shot is on the monitor while you film.
