Concrete Throne Room Set

Welcome to the Concrete Throne Room at L.A. Castle Studios. A great round hall of raw concrete sits in near darkness, lit from above by a ceiling oculus that glows like a halo. Arched alcoves line the walls, curved steps rise around the floor, and bronze sculptures stand on stone plinths. At the center of it all, a sculpted crown waits in a pool of light. Power lives here, and it is not friendly.

A hall made for an entrance

Shoot from the far doorway for a long walk to the center of the room, or from low on the floor looking up at the glowing oculus. Find your figures in the arched alcoves, stage a council on the curved steps, or come in close on a bronze sculpture or the crown. The deep shadows and single overhead light make every frame feel like a painting.

For dark fantasy, dystopias and music videos

This is the set for a dystopian ruler or a sci-fi empire, a dark fantasy court, a villain’s lair, a cult’s sanctuary, or a dramatic music video. Fashion and luxury brands can use its sculptural look for a commercial. Real thrones, props and costumes on the stage floor blend with the hall in camera.

One shoot day, many great halls

Pair it with the Palace Hall, the Sandstone Sci-Fi Temple and the Futuristic Dome Chamber. It loads in seconds at our Burbank studio and our Albuquerque studio.
