Sandstone Sci-Fi Temple Set

Welcome to the Sandstone Sci-Fi Temple at L.A. Castle Studios. Warm, pale stone rises in great carved walls toward a round skylight far overhead, and sunlight pours down through the atrium. Balconies are stacked on balconies, glowing panels of alien glyphs run down the columns, a suspended platform hangs at the center, and the polished floor reflects it all. It feels ancient and advanced at the same time.

An epic interior with places to explore

The temple has real depth. Frame the atrium wide for scale, climb to the balconies for a high angle, follow your actors through narrow passages between massive columns, or find a quiet side chamber lit by a single shaft of light. A stairway, walkways and a central platform give you blocking for council scenes, ceremonies, chases and confrontations.

For space epics, fantasy and music videos

This is the set for a desert-planet epic, a fantasy saga, a mystery in an ancient alien city, or a sci-fi series that needs a seat of power. It also makes a monumental world for a music video. Costumed cast and real props sit on the stage floor and blend with the temple in camera.

One shoot day, many worlds

Pair it with the Futuristic Dome Chamber, the Concrete Throne Room and the rest of our sci-fi and spaceship sets. It loads in seconds at our Burbank studio and our Albuquerque studio.
